A White Christmas!!!

My dearest family!!!

We had a white Christmas!!!! Well minus the snow ūüėČ Saidi got baptized Saturday! It was so beautiful and amazing! She is cousins to a family in our ward. It was amazing.

I can’t wait to talk to you all tomorrow so this email is going to be shorter (and we are going to go play some basketball! YES!!!!!!)

There truly is nothing greater than sharing the “most joyous” message with people during this special Christmas time. I am so thankful for this opportunity to serve and to share the gospel with all we come into contact with. It is amazing to see how the Lord prepares us and those we meet. His hand is truly in our lives – he is in the details. All things truly are perfect.

While harvesting the other day we had knocked a couple doors with no success. As we approached came to the next trailer we met John who was cleaning his car out. We introduced ourselves and asked if we could pray with him. He said no. We testified again that we are¬†representatives and how the blessing would help him feel and asked again¬†and he said¬†“yeah I would like that but¬†wait let me go put a shirt on.” We said the blessing with him and invited him to be baptized. He immediately said yes! He asked us if we could come back and say this prayer with his wife on Sunday. We came back and met his son Bryan. He also immediately accepted baptism and said “I know we crossed paths for a reason today and I know that this is what I have been looking for.” It is so amazing to see how the Lord prepares individuals as well as families to recieve the blessings of the gospel.

This week while reading in Alma 5 I did some big soul searching. Alma asks the people of Zarahemla inspired questions that cut through the natural man and really help the look inward. I loved that how he used all the tools he had as a missionary, scriptures, testimony and inspired questions to open the hearts of the people to the witness of the Spirit so they could see their choice clearly. A lot of times we (people in general) get caught up in our natural man or egos and forget God and find ourselves in the great and spacious building. In order to choose again we need to soften our hearts and yeild to the Spirit. We have to be able to see our choice. As missionaries it is so important that we “feel the song of redeeming love” through our obedience, diliegence and humility so that the Spirit can work through us to touch the lives of those we meet. For our investigators we need to use all the tools like Alma did to open their hearts to the testimony of the Spirit as we invite them to “Come and be baptized unto repentance, that ye may also¬†be partakers of the fruit of the tree of Life.” (Alma 5:62)

I love you all and will talk to you tomorrow!!
